Fees
Standard counselling sessions are 50 minutes in length and are billed at $170 per session. Additional services—such as phone calls longer than 15 minutes, or the preparation of letters or reports—are charged at a rate of $170 per hour, prorated based on the actual time required. All fees for additional services will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
Non-Insured Health Benefits
If you are eligible for coverage through Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), we’re happy to assist you in setting up services. All of our counsellors are registered and approved providers for these programs.
We are also registered and approved providers for Victim Services and WCB programs.
Insurance Rebates
We are registered with the majority of insurance companies, and we can direct bill them. For other insurance companies, we will give you a receipt that you can use to seek reimbursement from your provider. You may be able to claim a rebate for your sessions. Private health insurers may provide rebates for your counselling sessions. Please confirm your level of coverage with your health insurer. Most of our counsellors and their services are typically covered under the majority of benefit plans, and a receipt would be issued. All insurance plans are different, and we encourage you to reach out to your provider to ensure that you will be covered by the Registered Social Workers. Please check with your insurance provider to see what percentage is covered.
Payment Methods
Payments for appointments can be made using a credit card or Interac e-transfer. Credit card payments are processed through our secure practice management system.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide us with at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments that are missed or cancelled without 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.
